Far West will be hosting the Winter Regional Convention in Ojai, California from January 23-25. It will be hosted at Camp Ramah. The weekend is open to all 8th-12th graders. 

 

Where is the Convention and when does it start/end?

The Convention will be held  at Camp Ramah in Ojai, California. The weekend will start with registration on Friday January 23rd at 2:30pm and end on Sunday January 25th at 1pm.

What if I am outside of Southern California?

Bus transportation will be provided from various locations in Southern California with detailed stops being provided closer to convention time. USY will be providing a $50 travel stipend to anyone driving from outside of Southern California and $100 for anyone flying in from outside of Southern California. USY will provide transportation from LAX Airport Only. Please be in touch with your local chapter youth professional as many chapters are coordinating their own transportation. For those flying in on individual flights on January 23rd you must arrive no later than 11:30am. Flights on Sunday must depart no earlier than 5:30pm. If you book a flight outside of these flight windows we will not be able to guarantee transportation to and from camp. Please keep in mind that there will be only one bus pick up time.

Where will I stay at Convention?

All participants will be staying in cabins. There are 8 bunk beds for up to 16 participants in each cabin. There will also be a minimum of 2 adults staff per cabin staying in a separate staff sleeping area. All participants are required to bring their own sleeping bag and pillow. Participants will have the opportunity to request roommates upon registration. All cabins are equipped with heating and bathrooms.

What will we do at the Convention?

The weekend will be filled with time to get to know other teens, engaging service options, delicious meals and snacks, social action activities, a fun Saturday night program, and many more special surprises.
